Can fibroscan underreport stiffness?
I was a bit chubby when the exam was made (170cm 75 kg, bmi around 26).
I got s3 f0, but i am afraid the f0 can be underreported. How likely is that?

At low levels FO-F1-F2 Fibroscan can have a fairly wide range both high and low. The important point is to deal with the fat and if you succeed at that the scarring should not be a problem unless some other factor is causing the damage.
Thanks Wayne.
Do you mind telling us what was the fat content of your liver before and after your life style changes?
I m asking because i want to see how much fat reduction is possible...
My CAP score at diagnosis was 310 today it is 156
Wayne,
I was reading about the diet suggestion from the fat liver foundation and it does mention a lot of healthy fats, e.g. olive oil and oily fish such as salmon.
I know these things will help raise my hdl, but if i do a high fat diet wont my ldl raise as well? Even olive oil has a tiny bit of saturated fats...
Also, what you think about nuts? Should i go for them? I m asking because they also have a little bit of saturated fat (and i m talking about plain nuts, not the salty preprocessed ones).
You actually need to have a mix of oils as the body makes different things out of them. Omega 6 and 3 both make different prostaglandins for example so the goal is to shift the balance from mostly saturated and seed oils to mostly unsaturated and omega 3 but a healthy diet is a broadly mixed. Nuts are excellent and a good source of fiber. As you noted, watching the salt is a key.
Thanks for the info! And I am assuming that a bit of fruit is ok as long as the glycemic index is ok, right? Same for whole grain pasta?
This test said I had cirrhosis.....I called BS..... did liver biopsy.....NOTHINGWRONG!
