I had a fibroscan done and I ate about 1hr prior. Turned out I have f3-f4 severe fibrosis. Does anyone think eating prior to scan could of made my liver seem stiffer than it actually is?? I am a heavy set person. I weigh about 220( gained over 60pounds w my past pregnancy) All my blood test re: liver is normal and ultrasound said I had fatty changes dx w hepatic steatosis.
I told my dr I wasn’t fasting so we will repeat fibroscan while fasting at the end of the month. He said exercise, exercise, exercise to hopefully reverse this....

Yes, not fasting will make the reading higher for most people. They recommend at least 3 hours before. The amount of difference it makes is not the same for everyone so the only answer is a retest. Eat a good diet and exercise is the best advice.
It is scary for sure but with diet and exercise lots of people are able to manage it successfully. Depending on how far into becoming your own advocate you want to go, here is a link to what I'm using to monitor my progress. It isn't always easy to get a FibroScan.
Thank you Loosehead. I will definitely do that. I haven’t drank any alcohol in months. I think it’s all my weight gain w pregnancy and my sugar was elevated too. Fingers crossed. I’ve been plant based more than not abs exercising too.
