That is the normal procedure. It is intimidating with all of the equipment but I've had 2 and prefer it to the big needle

I had the transjugular biopsy and I was sedated. It went well with no issues and recovery was fine. I had a VCTE test in the gastrologist office. Was told all was good and 48 hrs later told after rechecking the test I had cirrhosis...talk about a shock. The Dr ordered the transjugular biopsy to check for portal hypertension and condition of my liver. The results we NO cirrhosis but diagnosed with NASH. Have been working very hard, down 40#, eating right and exercising. Next folliw up appointment in April. Praying the hard work has reduced the fat and inflammation in my liver. Good luck with biopsy
Hi there, I had a biopsy 12/30/2019 and they said I have Nash 90% damaged to my liver I was devastated I’ve been working hard on finding what I should do to try and reverse this if possible. I started working out very hard and eating only greens fruits, water with lemon green Tea and black coffee NO MEAT.. I pray I can reverse this I’m a mother of 7 and my youngest is 6 years old I’m so scared. I cry everyday but it also motivates me to work hard. I wish I would have known sooner. My Doctor suggested bariatric surgery. I have an appointment for a second option on 2/12/2020.
Hi there, had one last year June. Bit uncomfortable for 2-3 days, but not to bad. Had to stay overnight in hospital.
