Bloated uncomfortable stomach

For the past few months, as the day goes on my stomach becomes bloated and I have a feeling that I am wearing an iron corset which around the waist, especially the left side is being pulled tighter and tighter. I feel as if a baby is kicking inside me. I had an ultrasound and they couldn't see my organs as they were covered in gas. All they saw was that I have a fatty liver. My blood tests are not bad. Cholesterol very good but haemoglobin 12.8 - although within the brackets but not amazing. BP on the lowish side. I have tried keeping away from milk but it hasn't made any difference. My doctor insists that I am not gluten intolerant and so does not give me the test

Hi

Sorry you are feeling so rotten. Could you see a different gp at your group practice or change surgery. Please don't be fobbed off, easier said than done, I know, it's happened to me before. Perhaps you could take someone with you next time. I know sometimes I've been listened to more if I've had hubby or one of my sons with me which is wrong. Hope you feel better soon. Take care Lynne

With an Indication of fatty Liver the best thing is to get with a hepatologist. Most doctors aren't well trained in liver disease. Here is a link that might be a source for you fattyliverfoundation.org/sc...

my abdomen was swollen for 9 months. Went to 3 Gi doctors and they said they did not know what was wrong with me. Put me on several diets, no sugar, no dairy, etc. I have NASH so checked me for ascites as well. I have had every test you can do be done. No Answers. Decided to go see holistic practitioner. She did reflexology on my feet. I went to restroom for two days releasing toxins from my body and my stomach went down!!! I eat an alkaline diet and do well now. Not sure if helps you but wanted to share my experience. Take care!

I had bloat all over and ascites came up as the problem. I also have ultrasounds done and they show gas. I’ve been off water pills for six months and go back for another ultrasound soon. You definitely need a liver specialist. I am seen by a Digestive Disease doctor. Good luck!

Have you taken some Gas-X ?

I have taken charcoal pills, peppermint oil pills, carbosylane, medical treatments and whatever you can imagine

I have found that carbohydrates make be bloated, especially bread. I took a test for allergies to gluten, and that came back negative. But I read that while some people are not actually allergic to gluten, you can still have a sensitivity to it. That will not show up on a test. You could eliminate carbs for a while and see what happens.

I have had these issues as well for many years. Have done many things from alkaline diet to also looking at my blood type diet. Might want to look into. Everything listed in book for me to avoid has helped me from swelling. Basically it gives you a list of foods that are medicine for your body, neutral and poison. Worth a shot! ❤️
