I have a friend who has been on Klonopin and Zoloft for years. I recently found out that Zoloft can damage both your liver and give you diabetes. Sadly he got both side effects. He now has to take Lactulose because his liver isn't working properly and he has too much ammonia in his blood. He has loss of memory and one time lost all sense of where he was while in Walmart. A very scary moment. His liver has been causing him to be in steady pain for awhile now. He also swells up so bad his feet start to turn purple. I'm very worried.

Are you in the care of a hepatologist, a liver specialist? Most primary care or gastro docs don't do a very good job of managing liver disease.

So. The Zoloft klonopin liver diabetes concern got my attention, as I have used both for years and have not heard of these causal findings . Could you please elaborate regarding how this was determined? Thank you!
