Big Meeting today and got back my control...................

Well ladies i promised an update when my meeting with the hospital had happened and here it is.....................firstly they apologised for how i had been made to feel, then they said how brave i was to highlight their mistakes!!!

It wasnt all good news as i actually got to speak to my surgeon (first time since April) and he informed me that it was alot worse than i had been informed...........i have stage 4 endo, bladder and bowel both affected and many adhesions............unfortunately due to the idiot who stopped my Prostap and discharged me i am back to square 1........new round of Prostap for 6 months and then my only real option is surgery............

But saying that i do feel positive as i feel I now have the control and am telling the so called professionals what i want to happen next............i can see light at the end of the tunnel.....a long way off admittedly but its there xxx

Hope you are all as well as you can be and sending everyone positive hugs xxxxx

It s so good to hear someone feeling positive in spite of everything. Makes me feel more determined to speak up when i have my next appointment on 19th. Its sad though that on top of what sufferers are trying to deal with on a daily basis we have to contend with professionals who don't seem to believe what you tell them.

I hope your next 6 months is as good as it can be x

Dear Nikkii4, as you know from my private message, I too felt it necessary to write to my Consultant highlighting how I was told my lower back period pain (not my my only symptom but my most painful) was "an issue for Orthopaedics" and "you don't get lower back period pain when you are not menstruating" !!!

I have sent you the body of my letter for your honest and objective opinion.

In the meantime, I came across this post, and you have already helped me make my decision to actually send the letter. Thank you SO much for helping me realise I am not "invisible" and I can be in control of what's happening to MY body. xxx

My 'specialist' says that if I am having pain whilst having Prostap injection's, then it can't be Endometriosis. She's wrong isnt she?

So many women on here have mentioned pain despite having Prostap injections, so I know it's not...
