Bleeding from rectum

Hi Ladies

I am having my 3rd lap on Thursday but I went to the loo today and I am bleeding from my bottom and it had clots in it.

Has anyone had experience of this, i'm really worried.

Hi Michelle,

This is going to be a bit of an icky subject to talk about, but I have had this quite a lot myself. Obviously you need to be going to the doctor and letting him know that this is happening as anything like that always needs to be looked at and after.

It is a lot more worrying if it isn't fresh blood, if it is a nice bright red colour then don't worry too much. If it is dark and black then i'd say seek advice a lot quicker.

In my case I have the bleeding and they think that it is because of the fact I may have endo in my colon and bowel as well as on the outside. I would say have it checked out as soon as you can with either your GP on gynae.

I called the doctor and because I am on Oramorph I (sorry to be yucky) but I strain when going to the No 2 so he thinks it could be that.

Hi Michelle - just echoing what Heather has said, you should get this checked out as soon as you can. Have you seen the adverts on the telly about it? Doctors don't see them as bottoms, they see them as symptoms, so don't worry about getting it seen to. As if we ladies with endo have any dignity left anyway!

Don't worry about it in the meantime, but don't ignore it.
