Confused!!!!! Prostap, mirena and periods.

Hey there girls,

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas to my question. I am on prostap injections and have been for almost 6 months. it runs out at the beginning of july. i am also on HRT and had the mirena coil in.

Last month however i started suffering really bad side effects so i had the coil took out and the HRT changed. 2 days after the coil was removed i had a period. This month however i havent. it has really confused me as i am never late or have abnormal periods. I am just wondering if i should be having periods already with the prostap still having a month to go but no coil or should i be having them after the prostap has worn off and the one last month was just a reaction to having the coil removed.

Would be really grateful if someone could answer me as it is confusing me loads lol

I had the same thing happen whilst i was on prostap and had the coil removed the nurse said it was quite normal

Phew thanks so did u have a period the month after or did it take a while/prostap to stop working to start having them normally again? xx
