Hi! So I'm new to Prostap. I've had my second injection last Monday. However, I am bleeding again as a period - heavy. I'm just wondering if this is normal? I'm on this whilst waiting for my second Lap. I was having periods very close together. No more than 15 days without bleeding. So he suggested this was the next step. I'm having all the symptoms of heavy cycle again and the bleeding. I worry about anemia and whether my ovaries have healed. I had my first lap Spring 19 and my Endo signs came back a year later. I am worried because after ovulation, days later I would bleed and I had a lot of ovulation pain. So he suggested Prostap. I am on HRT but patch form.
Is this normal? Please and thanks. Xx

Hey! I wax on the prostap injection for 7 months and for some reason I was bleeding on it most weeks! My bleeding did stop after I finished the injections which isn’t ideal! I think everyone’s bodies deals with it differently! Make sure you let them know though, I told mine and they were reluctant to do anything or explain why that was happening but your doctors might be slightly better! Feel free to message me if you want to know anything else!x
Hey. Thank you for replying. I'm sorry you had a rough ride on Prostap too and that they didn't seem very helpful. I hope you're doing better now? Yeah that seems contradictory to have bleeding after it, that's strange. Thankyou. I shall contact them! X
I got a new doctor that actually listened to me so I’m 4 weeks post op now! It’s defo worth pushing I wish I made more of a fuss now because 7 months of that is not worth it! How long are you supposed to be taking it for? I also had all the other symptoms of the menopause and it was hell!x
Do you have PCOS too by any chance? The prostap makes the cysts breakdown cause a bleed.
I would speak to your consultant if your bleed is heavy, I was told that any bleeds after the second injection are worth checking out / reporting to them xx
I haven't been diagnosed with it, but maybe that's a possibility it's there? Thanks. Oh yeah thankyou, I am having the cycles as normal and pain. Like nothing has changed. Well a bit but the cycles and pain have made the changes barely noticeable if any now. Thankyou for replying. I'll contact them and see what they say. Hopefully it's informative. Thankyou!!
They could be there, it’s so hard to know isn’t it or feel like you have any control over anything. I would contact them, it doesn’t seem like it’s the right treatment for you at the moment. I really hope it gets sorted for you!
