Hi all, I had my diagnostic laparoscopy with excision of superficial widespread peritoneal endometriosis 18 weeks ago and I’m still suffering, with the pain becoming more debilitating week by week. I’ve been admitted to hospital for the past 8 nights for pain management, so far it hasn’t been helpful and I’m still in more pain than usual.
The consultant is speaking to the specialised endometriosis team about possibly prescribing Ryeqo. I currently have the mirena coil and take dienogest but so far it hasn’t done a thing to help.
Has anyone else had Ryeqo, and did it help? Were there any bad side effects?
Thank you in advance <3

I’ve been on it for 7 days now I think, so far I’m still getting pain and I’ve been getting hot flushes, night sweats and I’ve had a few headaches. I’ve also had no appetite whatsoever but from googling it to asking on support groups, I’ve not seen this as a side effect. I think if you are willing to, you should give it a go to see if it works for you, but if you feel it’s best not too, then there’ll always be something else to try eventually x
I started this 7 days ago & have been totally fine. Had 1 night sweat & a bit of nausea but that's it.
I am still bleeding, although it's not as heavy as before, hoping that stops with time!
I totally understand. I was prescribed this 1 year ago & It has sat on my bedside table for 12 months because I was so scared of the outcome & possible side effects.
In that year, my quality of life was plagued by anemia, heavy uncontrollable bleeding & general misery!
I started it last week in the hope that a better quality of life & threat of blood transfusion outweigh the risk of side effects.
Not everyone gets them, you might be one of the lucky ones. You'll only know if you try, but taking the plunge is so hard! It's not been as bad as I expected so far, granted I'm only a week in! If side effects get bad, I'll stop xxx
