hi, just wondered if anyone has experienced what I am experiencing at the moment. Waiting on my appointment with gyne, but hate being left to wait.
I’ve suffered with all different symptoms for a number of years. Most recently sharp severe pain and pulling sensation on left lower side.
After several GP visits (frustrating) I had an ultrasound and all the sonographer could tell me was my left ovary if stuck to my uterus. I will be assessed in gyne in the next 30days but want to know what I am potentially facing moving forward.
I understand it could be endo given all my symptoms over time but I also had a very large ovarian cyst removed by open surgery 9 years ago, so also know this may be the cause.
Thanks for reading and look forward to the replies ☺️

Hey, I do have ovary stuck to the backside of my uterus. Sometimes they try to release with surgery but main issue for me that is all twisted. I had 1 open surgery, 3 laparoscopies. Fallopian tubes removed for other reasons, deep infiltrating bowel endo and frozen pelvis. Since my 3rd surgery Im kind of painfree but that ovary is not even visible on the ultrasound.
I dont know what your life stage is at or plans for future in terms of fertility. I had 2 rounds of IVF, from that ovary they even didn't try last time to take eggs but had 10 frozen embryo from the other one. Waiting for my second baby currently, gave birth naturally to my first. I had little bit of manageable pain because the uterus is growing and probably pressured that ovary but just for few days. Didn't really interfere. After second baby and breastfeeding I'm planning for a hysterectomy and bowel resection but doctor said I can keep my ovaries to not go to menopause.
But I think every case is very different. Some people struggle more, some can manage better.
They have only found the condition of the ovary so far, I’m guessing they will do more investigations to see if anything else has happened?
luckily I am content with where I am, married and 3 children & not having anymore. So what they want/need to do won’t be a problem in that respect.
Just fustrating waiting to be seen. I’m in pain most days and some days it’s excruciating and on a whole I handle pain very well! Had a week of work recently as I just didn’t want to move the more I did the more it hurt, I’ve been prescribed painkillers in the mean time. But don’t also want to become reliant. Think I’ll chase gyne today.
Yeah, the waiting times are so annoying. I had to wait for all the surgeries so long. Lot of pain between. Contraceptive helped but I just couldn't deal with very strong painkillers like Codamol, couldn't work being so drugged. I guess they try meds first till getting to surgery amd remove the adhesions. Usually that's the route, but yeah painfully long way.
I was waiting for gynae appointment for more than a year and when I got there I got pregnant so they can't do much. I went to my country for the fallopian tube removal to not loose time with the IVF.
I have the coil at the moment, so I hate to think what the pain would be like without it. Gyne have said they will see me within 30days of referral as they are categorising it as urgent but it’s already been nearly 2 weeks, so hopefully not much longer.
Many thanks for your reply and wish you well in the future.
