Hey, I’ve just started taking Yasmin in a bid to try and reduce the endometriosis pains and PMDD … so far I’ve been very nauseous with really bad tummy aches … does anyone have any experiences to share on taking Yasmin and whether it helped at all? xx

Endo & Yasmill pill
Hiya, I'm on Yasmin as well. I do get nausea, but I had that before I started the pill so I don't think it's related to the pill. I get some pelvic cramps while I take it, though these have decreased over time. It took at least a year for things to calm down for me, but because I take it to have fewer periods (only 3 per year), the side effects were worth it to me since they're not as bad as my periods. The worst thing for me has been the mood swings - I have never felt so constantly irritated and angry before in my life! I take 3 boxes in a row so by the 3rd box I was a nightmare to be around lol. Unfortunately I think it is a waiting game in terms of the side effects getting better. I wouldn't say I enjoy taking it, but the fact that it prevents my periods for so long is great and I do think it helps me. Good luck with it xx
I was on yasmin for about 9 months for my endo - I didn't have any side effects thankfully, but it didn't help my endo either (my main symptom has been constant pain, regardless of if I was on my period). I've just switched to a different pill to see if that helps. I hope you find something that works for you!
hi i have takin jasmin pill years ago and it was great helping with hormonal skin problems. I don’t think its the right pill for your endo which should be a pill without oestrogen , i have been using the mini pill desogestrel for years now and it has really worked stopping my periods therefore all the pain etc that comes alongside side, i did have to take a double as advised by my consultant. Worth a discussion really worked for me, hope you find some relief x
hey ! I was on yasmin for years and I found the nausea did come and go but never really fully went away. I’ve just had surgery, endo removal + the hormonal coil put in and it’s sooo much better. Of course everyone is different but I’m finding the hormonal coil a lot better with little to no side-affects compared to the pill x
