Hi guys, I wonder if anyone could give me some advice?
I’m 42 and have stage 3/4 Endo. My periods are normally a very regular 24 days. Since April I’ve been having odd ones - April was 29 days, May 21 days and June back to 24, so I thought things were normal again. My period this month just hasn’t turned up and it’s now 13 days late. I also look extremely bloated. What on earth should I do? I’m finding it very discombobulating not bleeding. I was told at 35 my egg count was very low for my age. I had my son at 37 despite that. Could I be menapausal all of a sudden? I’m not even sure who to speak to - my GP or a specialist. Has anyone else experienced this at this age? It feels like my cycle has changed very suddenly.

Hello I am also 42 and very bloated / distended and it can either come with a bleed or not with a bleed. I have endo and adeno, I think it’s a normal symptom to go through with gynaecology problems. When I have a bleed it feels like it’s a release almost and the stomach goes down a bit. Apart from that I’m unsure of what else will bring the bloating down x
Thanks for your reply. I have andeno too. Did yours start quite suddenly or over time? I’ve been super regular until three months ago but maybe it’s my age and either peri menopause or actual menopause. So hard to know who to ask about it!
I'm similar. 41 and always been super regular 28-30 days, predominantly 28. Then the last 6 months it's been between 25 - 35 ish and then randomly this month I started another full bleed on day 16. I had been in a lot of pain and huge bloating during those two weeks until I started another bleed and then it eased after. I'm not sure if I maybe had a cyst burst or if my cycles have just messed up and I can't understand why. No signs of perimenopause up until this.
Goodness, that’s frustrating. I do feel very bloated too. Weirdly no pain or cramps and my boobs are floppy and light : / - they are normally quite achy and full. I’m debating whether to speak to my GP but feel like I’ll be fobbed off.
