Hello. I have an appointment in a couple of months with my gynae to review my treatment. I've been on Decapeptyl for two and a half years now, with low dose HRT to keep hot flushes etc at bay. I had a lap about 18 months ago. I do have occasional pain but nowhere near as bad as it was pre-lap and pre-injection. Lately I have been wondering if the body can just stop reacting to Decapeptyl and similar injections properly? I have been having discharge that looked like what I would get at ovulation time, which has not happened for over two years. I haven't had a period since I started the injections or any signs of my cycle, no discharge changing through the month, but it has been noticeable lately. Does anyone have experience of this? Thank you for reading!

Does Decapeptyl ever just stop working?
Hi, I was interested in your post as I’ve been on Decapeptyl now for almost 3 years. In the past once the initial flare up caused by the injection I used to get a period of relief, atleast a few weeks of feeling well and in less pain. I noticed about a year ago this stopped happening and told my gynae consultant, she suggested trying the one monthly injection instead of 3 monthly. This made things worse still and I started bleeding and cramping too. I see a specialist next month so I am keen to discuss this with them. It’s a lot to put our bodies through but I was prepared to put up with the side effects for those blissful few weeks of relief but don’t even get that now. I have just lately been diagnosed with adenomyosis too so that may explain worsening pain but I’m not sure. Maybe an adjustment to your HRT could help? Or maybe worth asking for an MRI scan? This was how I got the adenomyosis diagnosis. Sorry this isn’t much help but I don’t see many posts in long term Decapeptyl so just wanted to reply to let you know I’m in the same boat and can sympathise 💛 x
