Hi there.

Yes have been on decapeptyl sr injections for a total of 5years. They gave me extended treatment due to the endo being so severe and nothing else helped.

This treatment will put u through artificial menopause so do be prepared for the hot flushes. Mood changes. More hair etc.

It is a brilliant treatment.

Is it monthly or three monthly injections x

3 monthly im just so scared of gaining weight as it says on side effects, I'm only on them for 6 months to see what happens as nothing else ive had has helped with the constant pain xx

Hi Claire,

Could you please tell more about your experiences with decapeptyl? I also have serious endo, tried many hrt without success, also surgery was useless, and now I would have to try decapeptyl. Have you stayed symptomless after the 5 years on the injection? Or did endo come back? I hope not!

Thanks a lot!!

Judit

ps. sorry for my mistakes in english :)

Hi I just started this and I haven't experienced any side effects as of yet. I know they r probably going to start on a few weeks tho. I would take the hot flushes over this pain any day. I have started with the monthly injection rather than 3 months but I'm sure it will do the same thing I just didn't want to have it in my body for 3 months if I didn't like it! Hope u get some luck. I have been experiencing daily pain and its my last option now after lap didn't do anything for the pain, it actually made it worse! Xx

If you read my posts you will see what I have suffered with this injection. I only got the first three month dose I didn't know anything about this drug and it has been a nightmare for me! When it kicked it I have suffered most of the side effects, anxiety, depression, sweats, insomnia, hot flashes, nausea, headaches. I've have been going off my mind for the last few months! I would never get another dose of this drug. Obv everyone's body reacts different but I have had a hard time. I wasn't told anything about it from my gyny in regards to side effects etc I am writing a letter of complaint as feel I have been robbed of my life for the last few months. If I had known more about it I would never have gotten it. Look up the drug and side effects because it will explain more about it x
