ovarian cyst & endometriosis?

November 2023 I returned to the gp with bleeding and bloating again and wasn't sure if it was hormonal changes. Was sent for a scan and received my results last month in April - 6 months after the initial scan! Was told there are 3 cysts measuring 6, 12 and 60mm. And something they're not sure of on the scan. Another scan was arranged, for which I was told there was a 4 week wait. I was phoned the following day after seeing my consultant and asked to go down for a CT scan that day where I was given a contrast dye so things could be seen better. I am now awaiting results for this but my main symptoms are massive bloating , feeling uncomfortable and a sharp stitch like pain down my right hand side. I suspect the endometriosis is also back. I feel worse after eating food and can't eat half of what I used to.

Have they given you a blood test to check the levels of CA125? Depending on age and levels found in blood plus ct scan results they may be discussing when the team meet looking at surgery. This happened to me pre pandemic. An urgent scan could mean it’s more serious than endo. Mine was endo but they were initially looking for cancer.

Hello, Thanks for your message, Yes i do believe they are looking for something more serious due to how quickly the scan was arranged, however this hasn't been mentioned. I had CA125 levels taken over a year ago now, these were normal at the time. I have booked myself in for another blood test and will see if they will take them again at the same time. I was hoping to have heard by now as really suffering with bloating at the moment, and even struggling when i bend down, i just feel so full all the time and uncomfortable. I hope you are sorted now, did they do an ablation.
