Hi ladies,

Just a quick question, earlier today my tummy quickly became swollen and bloated (nothing unusual) so I put my pj bottoms on for comfort when I did this I noticed my stomach was more swollen on one side a lump (not a hard one) and my skin around my lower abdomen was purple & mottled, I’ve never had this problem before has anyone else suffered with this?

Have you been using a hot water bottle or heat pad lots? That happened to me once when I used my hot water bottle too much. I had really bad pain so I kept it really hot all day and my skin went all purplely red and blotchy. It faded within a day or two.

If not, I'd recommend just giving your GP a quick call if it doesn't go away soon. Just in case.
