So I'm new here, awaiting the official report but TVs ultrasound done last week and I was told at the time he thinks I have endometriosis.Reason for scan was recent UTI like symptoms without any positive cultures, history of v heavy painful periods, acute lower back and abdo pain etc..
I am constantly showing up with blood in urine on drs dipstick test strips so being referred to urology.
Wondered if anybody else has experienced this?

Yes! I was referred to urology for the same reason. Had several urine tests all show blood in my urine. Had a cystoscopy which was all clear. No reason found. Very heavy and painful periods, pelvic pain, hip and lower back pain, needing to pee often etc etc.
Not yet. I had my first Lap on Monday. Surgeon found I was riddled with adhesions and she wants to speak to the senior consultant tomorrow before going through the findings with me. I think she removed some but left others, including near my bladder. So I'm going to have to have more surgery.
hi … sorry to jump on your thread but can I just ask when you have blood in your urine is your pee just darker or do you have obvious signs of traces of blood? I have always thought that endo can’t be diagnosed on a scan but my adenomyosis was diagnosed on a trans vag scan . Wishing you all the best x
Hi I had the same issues constant Heamaturia in urine. I also had painful periods and what I thought were bladder infections. My Gp first and foremost referred me to Urology which unfortunately was kidney cancer early diagnosis which is great. I also was referred to gyno. So push for appt for urology ASAP and Ct scan.
Hi! I had haematuria for several years before being diagnosed with endometriosis. Once diagnosed, I had a cytoscopy, CT scan, ultrasounds and MRIs, none of which showed the ureteral endometriosis it turned out to be, though my pre-op blood test two years later did show higher creatinine. I hadn't known that endometriosis could affect the kidneys and with hindsight should have been more concerned about the haematuria - do push to find the cause.
Hi thankyou for your reply. Strange how it doesn't show up. As I said my scan showed it but then 2 days later I had a scan with someone else who said all is normal! Do you mind me asking what other symptoms you suffer with and what treatment helped?
Hi! My symptoms were an aching bladder, needing to go to the loo more including during the night and maybe back pain (but I had a large endometrioma as well). Also, just before my operation, tenderness down one side which might have been the flank pain mentioned with kidney problems.
For treatment, the endometriosis was removed from my ureters and the bladder ache went but unfortunately came back about six weeks later and I still have the haematuria so I'm still mid-treament or at least monitoring.
