Hello everybody. I was just wondering if any of you on your journey discovering that you had endometriosis had any uncommon symptoms that were a tell tale sign, I’ve started to have pain during sex but only on the lead up to my period, my period pains have worsened with new pains including shooting pains in my ribs and groin and the tops of my legs and shins. Strange blister like spots on my face and the bridge of my nose, and fluid filled spots on my hands. After going down routes of fibromyalgia and ME and having no success I’m back to the drawing board and feel like I need to go to my doctor with something they’re just not willing to consider. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you all for even taking the time to read this x

Painful sex is definitely a symptom of endometriosis but can also be many other health conditions. I recently read a book by a gynae in the UK called Dealing with Problem Periods by Anita Mitra. She talks a lot about symptoms of different health conditions that affect periods, might be worth a read to see if you relate to any!
Hi. Have you been screened for autoimmune markers? ANA blood test, etc for auto immune problems? or CA125 - usually used as support bloodwork to check for endometriosis? Pain before period and groin issues could be signs of endometriosis and for the face - (butterfly face rash) and rib issues could be signs of lupus- autoimmune. You know your body best. Don't give up on finding your answer. Most doctors tend to be simply reactive for many reasons and being proactive is not their thing. Best to have a diary of food, sleep and symptoms. Oftentimes our body pushes pain/symptoms so we can do something. And doctors need these data to know what they can work on. I hope all goes well.
