My pain come back a month after I had my lap I was a month pain free. Still in agony a year later and it’s worse than it was before the lap. I went back to gynae and they said it wouldn’t have grown back so quick and refused to do anything else with me but I’ve read online it can come back quickly especially when your not taking anything like the pill or coil etc xx
Nope they probably wouldn’t do anything until you have seen him. They might suggest going on the pill or something until but you’ve said previously you don’t like it. I come to a wits end with my pain and gynae refused to do anything else with me at this stage so he referred me to the endo pain doctor. I recommended asking to see the one in your area because mine is AMAZING!! From the second I walked into the room I knew it was going to go good and he just listened and understood me and understood the fact that it’s not normal for a 20 year old girl to have chronic pelvic pain. After an examination he found I’ve got something called osteitis pubis which is a sports injury but can happen after gynae surgery or trauma. He thinks this could be causing some of my pain so I’m having injections into the groin bone and if that doesn’t work he’s referring me to women’s health physio and he told me he will find something that works for me. If you continue to get the pain definitely ask to be referred when you go back next month xx
I might look into that. I’m pretty much on my own dealing with this as I can’t tell my parents since they won’t believe me considering I had surgery 2 months ago. xx
I would. He also looks into your mental health and stuff to see if your suffering with it on the inside. They will probably help you in ways to get around your parents as it must be hard xx
I had surgery 8 weeks ago and was great for the first 6 weeks then started getting worse pain than before the surgery. And nausea and vomiting with it. Which I could really do without. Been struggling to eat and function with the pain. Had to go a&e in the end and ended up in hospital.
I've been given prostrap injections which I was a bit hesitant about tbh because of the mixed bag of reviews, but they basically said if they keep going in and cutting out the endo everytime it flares up like this its just going to create more problems with scar tissue and adhesions.
So seeing my surgeon in month to see how the prostrap has worked and what he thinks to do. In the mean time ended up taking oxycodone for the pain that's how severe its been. Didn't know it could be this bad for so long. It's been three weeks since this episode stated :/
They also said that for some women the surgery doesn't work first time and it can come back worse. Guess that's us?!?
It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s returned haha, I’m a really unlucky person 😂
I’m going to treat Depo-provera hopefully as I’ve tried so many other forms of contraception and nothing has helped. But I can’t get treated till my follow up on the 19th October.
I was up all night with period pains and I’m losing a lot of blood (sorry tmi). At this point, I kinda wish I could just have everything removed, I don’t want a life of struggling with pain and constant surgeries xxx
Ha I know right I thought the same if it's going to happen to probably will 😂🤦🏼♀️
Yeah if tried the mirena and it didn't work so they suggested this prostrap which is injection a bit like the depo but just blocks estrogen.
Is this your first period after the surgery? .cause mine was a nightmare but other than that I was ok, and apparently it's a ’thing’ that the first few are terrible?
It’s my second period, I may still be healing but the dull heavy ache I used to have has come back. Which was a result of having a large cyst on my ovary.
Ah that's not good yeah my pain got worse before my second period started and was in the same place as last time but much worse. So bloody frustrating isn't it. :/
I had a similar experience.....the specific pain where there was a cyst on my Fallopian tube was gone but the general pelvic pain and worsening periods came within 10 weeks. I had a Mirena IUD put in and it has helped a lot. Don’t go by others reviews. Try different options until you find something that helps.
