I have my first lap next week as I've been having fairly constant pelvic pain which becomes worse over my periods. Ultrasound scan was normal, bloods and markers are all fine, they suspect endo hence the lap next week. This has only happened in the last 3 months.
I wanted to see if anyone else had fairly constant pelvic pain and was diagnosed with Endo?

I had almost constant pain too, & like you it was worse before/during periods. Sometimes it would calm down for one week in the first half of my cycle, but would always come back again. It was worse on the left side, towards the hip. Ultrasound & blood tests inc. CA125 normal (except low white blood cells). At laparoscopy endo surgeon found & excised endometriosis from the left pelvic wall. Now 4 weeks post surgery, recovery was smooth & feeling a lot better so far. Hope all goes well for you!
Thanks for your message really appreciate it! How long was this going on for before you got the laproscopy? And what was the pain like out of 10? Mine feels very recent being 3 months and I'm not sure if endometriosis symptoms start randomly.
The pain varied, sometimes an intense 7-8 (didn't respond to painkillers, stopped me sleeping, felt sick), to milder but persistent, it felt like period pain but at the wrong time in my cycle. It went on for a year because first I was dismissed by an awful GP who asked me if I could be imagining my pain by worrying, told me 'women get pain', she gave me blood tests but didn't refer me. A young GP was much nicer, took me seriously & made me a referral for laparoscopy but the wait list was so long that I went private.
Looking back I'd had painful periods for years but thought it was just part of getting older (I'm 38), but then the chronic pain started plus bloating, & everything progressively got worse inc. bladder pain, urinary issues etc.. So basically it's great that you are having the lap soon & I hope it solves your pain! Let me know how you get on, I'm curious to know other people's experiences.
I'm so sorry to hear you had it for so long! But really great you're feeling better after the laproscopy now. My pain is 5-6/10 on period and 2-3/10 otherwise. Some days are pain free but most are mild and persistent. Feeling nervous for the laproscopy but know it's the only way to get a definitive diagnosis and then can move forward with treatment and mentally move forward too. Did you have a CT or MRI before the laproscopy as well as the ultrasound? Thanks for the well wishes! Yes will say how it goes, I think it's so good that we can all share experience to help others.
Sorry to jump on this post. Sorry to hear you still have pain after surgery. I'm in the same position I had my excision surgery 8 weeks ago and still in pain but no idea why. When was your surgery? Do you get daily pain in pelvis area?
