it is supposed to be until they do a hysterectomy if that ever happens

Hiya, I have been on prostab since March whilst I wait for a Hysterectomy. It has definitely helped with Endo I still have some pain I'd say is mild but I am experiencing side effects from the injection/hrt that is also hard to bear with. So I've stopped endo symptoms for side effects. I am on monthly injections.

What kind of side effects are you having? I had Zoladex injection 4 weeks ago and had a bad initial reaction to it.

Hi Theodora.

Side effects some are hrt/menopause related and some prostab.

Headaches, low mood, hair thinning, facial hair growth, joint pain, hot flushes, brain fog, loss of appetite and nausea, dry skin there's more but my memory is so bad when I try to think I can't. They are the main ones though 🙂.

Been on monthly prostep injections since June while awaiting surgery. Apart from the hot flushes I haven't felt better in years. No unpredictable and uncontrolled bleeding and I've reduced my pain killer consumption massively. I have been prescribed hrt patches if the side effects become too much but was advised by my consultant to try and manage without them for the first 6 months as the hrt can counteract the prostep making it less effective. I have a meeting with the consultant in October when I will get a better idea of timescales and will ask for a bone density scan if I'm on it longer than 6 months.
