Hello ladies, it's been almost twenty years since I had these and I'm due to commence again tomorrow; may I ask those who are on it (or had it recently) a question: how long before you noticed signs of any mood swings associated with the change in hormone levels???
Hi Maria, I only started a 3 month course at start of this month and to be honest it's been great because I've not been in pain for the first time in months! Think the only side effects I've experienced has been a couple of weeks in I felt quite irritable/angry which is out of character for me but this seems to have settled down now. My skin has been affected a bit- rashes, dry but it is winter and my skin is quite sensitive anyway. So far so good for me!x
Thanks so much; I had it twenty years ago and thought I remembered it was one of those which didn't cause too many issues but then I thought maybe I was thinking back with 'rose-tinted glasses'....hopefully I'm the same as you and get some relief from pain!
I had my 3 month Prostap injection last week. Still off work recovering from lap but haven't notoced anything different as yet, although would be interested to hear others story's in when symptons (if any) started.
Me and hubby had a bit of a row last night over something trivial and he said in response 'great got to put up with 3 months of this' - I didn't think I snapped more than I usually would and was annoyed that he threw it back in my face but he knows just what buttons to press, however I'm trying to not rise to it!
I think the real test will be when I go back to my stressful job, dreading it!
I have just had my 4th jab on Monday. My mood for the first few months was quite down and irritable, usually quite a cheery person so it was noticeable. My boyfriend, bless him, has been brilliant and understanding when I was getting a bit snappy but it's not nice for either of us when I am like that! I was also having bad headaches. So I started taking HRT about 2 1/2 months into it and it has really helped.
