Just wondering if anyone has this too so my pain lately has changed as it starts on lower right pelvic area and will last a few hours then pain on lower right will disappear but then the lower left will start to hurt. I do have endo and adhesions but wondering if anyone pain is like this? For instance it hurts one side then that side the pain will stop after few hours then pain will start on the opposite side

Hi me94, I’m so sorry you’re having this pain! May I suggest you have your appendix checked out, just in case it’s appendicitis which would be lower right side and the moving of it to the left might be referred pain. Apparently you can have appendicitis, which is inflammation of the appendix, for some time in varying degrees before it actually bursts.

Last month I had a burst appendix, which was horrendous and it wasn’t picked up by any medical professionals not by 2 sets of ambulance techs, 2 remote GPS, and 4 days in acute assessment ward in hospital before they did a CT scan and found it) 12 days after it had burst and sepsis had already set in and a couple days more I probably would have died. It seems like there’s a huge global problem with under-diagnosis of appendicitis (a pendulum swing because they used to over-diagnose it 🙄), but looking back I think I can remember times when I had pain there but assumed it was my ovary or potentially endometriosis. Ironically I was booked in for diagnostic laparoscopy for endometriosis for a week later, it didn’t happen though (yet!).

Rather safe than sorry, get it checked, just in case! It was the most excruciating pain I’ve ever been through, you really don’t want to go there! I hope you can resolve it though, whatever the cause xx

Oh no sorry to hear you had a burst appendix and had sepsis 😪 what was your symptoms of this? My pain pain has always been lower right and I do think maybe endo is on the appendix. Was just strange as was weird how I had lower right pain then that stopped and then had lower left pain all in the same day. I just put it down to endo. Luckily I'm having excision surgery soon. The pain did go by the next morning so that's why I didn't end up having it checked but then again today the lower right is sore. Did they find endo when they took the appendix out? Hope you're feeling better?

Hi, I have these pain and symptoms, and going for my appointment to help diagnose endo in a few months. I had my appendix out last year, and when they removed it they said it had looked like it had shrivelled up and died! Endo?? Could be worth pushing for an appendix removal to at least remove the pain from somewhere else in the body as after research I know that endo can be found on the appendix. I did not have typical appendicitis, but I went to a&e with extreme pain in the right hand side of abdomen and luckily they picked up on some inflammation from a scan , again, endo? Hope this helps!

Oh wow that's awful how your appendix ended up like that. Do you still get pain there now? Yeah have heard endo can grow on appendix and would like mine removed as pain is mostly always on lower right. Before you had your appendix out. How long did you have the pain in the lower right for? Will ask surgeon if he can look at the appendix when I have excision surgery for endo in Oct

Hi! It was around two years with the pain, in the lower right hand side, I still get that pain in that area, but a year on from having my appendix out I luckily haven’t had the kind of pain that ended me up in a&e! Yeah I think that’s a good idea, as appendix removal is the exact same lap surgery x

I had similar pains to this before I was diagnosed with endo, I was sent for an ultrasound scan and it showed a large cyst which was pressing on both ovaries, might be worth getting an ultrasound to see if a cyst is there? xx

Ah I see. Do you get pain there still now the cats been removed? I did have ultrasound scan done a few months ago and it only showed left ovary attached to uterus but I do have endo as it was found during last lap but wasn't removed
