Rib cage pain post op

Hi,

I have my first laparoscopy almost 2 weeks ago, where they found and removed endometriosis. I have 3 incisions and the pain around these has been improving everyday so I was back at work after a week. I have quite bad pain in my rib cage and shoulders from the air they used during surgery, and I haven’t noticed any improvement on this, did anyone else still have this after 2 weeks? I feel the air moving around when I sit up after lying down.

Thanks you for your help!

Kate

The only thing I can recommend is gentle moving around and heat - that’s what helped my gas pains

thanks for the advice, I’ll make sure I get some peppermint tea 😊

Hi

This can be excruciating pain! Try peppermint tea or any wind/bloating reliever, that should help and they say keep moving. Good luck.

thank you, I’m going to get some peppermint tea and see if this helps. It’s good to movement helps because I was worried I was making it worse by overdoing it.
