cramping before period

hello everyone,

I was diagnosed a month ago with 2 chocolate cysts on my left ovary and am scheduled to have a laparoscopy to remove them. I have this unusual cycle where I spot all throughout my cycle but then 7-10 days before my period I start getting cramps and then my period starts for a day or so, stops and then resumes a few days later. Just wondered if anyone else with endo has experienced this or similar cycles as mine always used to be very regular up until November last year when all of my symptoms arose.
