Waking up right before starting my period?

Hello ladies.

Bit of an odd/silly question, but I have been wondering.

Does anyone else wake up the moment right before you start your period? You wake up and go straight to the toilet and BAM, your period starts.

I just wondered because I am not sure if I am waking up because I am in pain from starting (I do get period cramps as everyone does, sometimes they can be quite nasty and I'll take 30mg cocodamol to ease them) or am I waking up because my body is telling me "hey... you're going to bleed everywhere if you don't wake up right now".

I do this A LOT, I tend to never sleep through starting my period anymore (I used to do this quite often when I was a teenager).

Cramps will wake me up if it starts during the night.

Its an odd/unpleasant thing to wake up to

I have trouble sleeping a few days before my period starts and feel quite anxious (panic attacks etc). I don’t think my hormones agree with me 🤣 xx

That’s really interesting! I wonder if it’s just my body literally waking me up then 😂 xx

Every cloud has a silver lining.... at least you aren’t likely to bleed in your underwear/bed sheets 😬 that’s the only positive I’m taking from this 🤣

Yess!!! Trying to conceive so I’m always very cautious of getting my periods, so much so that i can wake up from deep sleep as soon as i feel a little trickle down there & then ofcource the disappointment kicks in as soon as i see red. 🙄

Aww bless you, that must be horrible. I literally don’t feel anything down there. I sit down on the toilet and literally start then and there it’s really weird 😂. Wishing you best of luck xx
