Just read the letter from my consultant to GP and it says a Bimanual examination revealed bulky, Mobile uterus, mildly tender. Has anybody had this. Consultant has never mentioned it too me.

I have a bulky uterus and for me it’s because I have adenomyosis x

Adenomyosis has not been mentioned. How did they diagnose it for you?

I was seeing a Gastroenterologist about my stomach/bowel problems and he sent me for an MRI. I was diagnosed with adenomyosis about 6 weeks later x

I was also told I had a bulky uterus and then subsequently told I had adenomyosis after a laparoscopy.

Yeah I saw on my notes that I had a bulky uterus but no one mentioned it to me. I'm awaiting consultation with a specialist to ask about it

Yes it usually means you have adenomysiosis. You should ask for an MRI to confirm, adeno often acommpanies endo.

I had a bulky uterus due to multiple fibroids and adenomyosis.x

usually indicates adenomyosis &or fibroids.

yes. Look into adenomyosis! It’s what I have and only diagnosed via MRI

Thanks all. Consultant is prescribing Provera to see if it helps with pain. Review in 3 months and if it doesn't work its laparoscopy

After my laproscopy I was told I had a bulky uterus and my surgeon diagnosed me with adenomyosis despite the fact that a previously done MRI showed no signs of it. I then had to go for a specialist ultrasound where the guy looked at the wall of my uterus and said there was no adeno there so I’m not sure why it was bulky.

Hopefully it’s nothing in your case though it sounds like you do have symptoms :/

I definitely have symptoms had them for 3 years. Just read another letter from consultant and it does mention posterior myometrium is thickened containing small intramunal fibroids or adenomyosis. Also ovaries are scarred
