Heavy bleeding 8 weeks post Endometriosis OP

Hi everyone

I’m 8 weeks post Endometriosis laps , had it done on the 1st of November. Everything seemed to have gone well,

On the 10th of dec, my period started but it was light and some days no spotting and it remained that way for about 1-2 wks. For the past two weeks till date I have been having very very heavy bleeding with massive clots. No pains at all but uncontrollable bleeding that’s affecting my everyday life.

Please did anyone experience this, should I be worried ?

on my third day of tranexamic acid and no difference so far.

I am 3 weeks post lap and have experienced the same as you.

I did manage to contact my consultant and he wasn’t worried. He said this would be normal for up to 6-8 weeks because of the instruments he used in my uterus.

I have had flooding and clots, none of which I’ve ever had before, so naturally worried like you.

My pain has been fine as my surgery was for final removal of my left ovary and another bowel shave, after most of it being removed last year, however the bleeding has been worse this time.

thank you so much for your response. I appreciate. But in my case wasn’t just after the ops.. I had the after ops bleeding just for a week and this heavy bleeding I’m having now came 5 weeks post ops that’s why I’m worried xx
