How to do activities without support in pain
hi Kamna1, I don’t use a wheelchair but I use a walking stick. It’s usually with longer journeys, helps me with shooting pains when I feel my knees will buckle or when I’m getting more fatigued. I hate it but it has helped me be more “active” it gives me the confidence to go out basically. Indoors lots of things are done while sitting down or like you do, taking breaks inbetween washing up etc. If you feel a wheelchair is going to give you a better quality of life and allow you to save some energy then use one. Do whatever helps you with this nasty disease. Wish you well x
Hi Kamna1 I don't use a wheelchair or other walking aids, but I do struggle to stand and or walk for long periods, so I too use the techniques that yourself and Simo7 have described (holding on to work tops and doing activities like washing up in a few goes).
