endometrioma- surgery- pregnancy outcomes

Hi everyone,

So appreciate everyone’s stories. I’m 34, have low amh (5.3pmol/L), and was recently diagnosed with endometriosis. I have a relatively small (so I’ve been told) endometrioma in my right ovary and adhesions between my colon and uterus, and also my right ovary and uterus. We found all this out as we had my coil removed to start trying to conceive. I’ve also had severe debilitating endo pain.

My doctor wants to do a laparoscopic surgery to remove the endometriosis, but recommended I consider freezing my eggs first.

Does anyone have a similar story? I’m trying to assess if I need to freeze my eggs first or even do the surgery at all. I’ve read conflicting research that shows surgery can help with pregnancy outcomes - and others that show it can reduce ovarian reserve, but that in some cases it gets better or stabilizes back to pre-surgery levels after one year.

Many thanks!
