Hi everyone I’m new here. I got diagnosed stage 4 endo in September just gone, through a laparoscopy.
Thought surgery might of eased my pains, however I’ve just had a second period since my surgery and the amount of pain I was in was unbearable. I couldn’t stand up, never mind walk, screaming and crying. And I’ve never had pain like this before. I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow to look through what pain management there is. But I’ve been reading into zoladex and prostap, however I’m only 26.
Future and children wise I’m unsure, but all I know is I can’t go through that amount of pain again and would do anything for it to stop. Just wanting to see what other people have tried and what’s worked for you.
Thanks
Em

hi, I have read that the first couple of periods after a lap can be a bit more painful as everything is still inflamed, especially if you had any endo removed. As far as I’m aware the after you stop taking the drugs you’ve mentioned your fertility returns. You can search those medications on here and see others experiences although sometimes you never know until you try. Have you tried other hormone treatments like the combined or progesterone only pill or the mirena coil?
hi yeah I’m currently on the pill now. They wanted me to try the mirena and pill together but I have family history of blood clots so I can’t try that! And I don’t feel comfortable being on two lots. I’ll have a little search on the group like you said! Thank you for replying
good luck. I’m also stage 4 and it’s hard knowing what treatment to go for. I’m 45 though so I no longer need to worry about fertility. I luckily aren’t in agonising pain, more constant discomfort. Along with my stage 4 for I also have adenomoysis and extensive scarring attaching my bowel to uterus. I’m trying the mini pill as I think the next step will be full hysterectomy. 🤦♀️ I hope you get some relief. At least you know you’re not alone.
