If you can have someone with you, an extra ear if nothing else, if you do let the Gynae know. It shows you have support and less likely to brush you off.
Writing down all your symptoms, history etc. will help, I always do it. Don’t let them rush you through it.
The Endo uk site has some great info for getting the most out of a consultation and I think the RCOG has some as well.
If they are going to operate make sure there will be a colorectal surgeon there as well. That will hopefully avoid further surgery.
I’m sure you won’t need it but good luck and let us know how you get on
My husband is going to be on the call with me in case I miss anything.
I am going to sit tonight and write down all my symptoms and hopefully at my appointment on Thursday I will get some answers as to how bad it is and what's going to happen going forward. The results of the MRI scan have never been discussed with me fully, I was just told it was deep infiltrating and that I was being referred to the Endo clinic.
Had my consultation today and confirmed deep infiltrating endo, adenomyosis, chocolate cysts on both ovaries! I am now on the waiting list for a full hysterectomy. I am happy with this as I am lucky enough to have 2 beautiful daughters and i have had treament twice before after abnormal smear tests. Just a waiting game now.
