Hi everyone. I have been on Zoladex for the last 5 months and previous to that had a 6month round of implants before having BSO surgery. The day after my last implant I started to develop a rash , not sure that it is related to this but nothing else has change recently for me so wondering if it could be the Zoladex but would I react like this after already having implants before. The rash is worse around my stomach and back but now covers my whole body, including hands (which are also swollen) and my feet.
Has anyone experienced this follow Zoladex or heard of it being a side effect?
Thanks for any input on this xx

do you have the freeze spray before your injection as I was allergic to that. Used to cause a horrible rash and as soon as I stopped using that it was absolutely fine.
hi thank you for your reply. No I don’t have the freeze gel. I’ve never had a reaction before so not sure if it’s just coincidence. I’ve been to gp this morning who’s response was “not sure what it is” 🙄.
Hi there, when I was on zoladex I constantly came out in quite bad hives. I was on it a few years on and off before that happened though and certain foods seemed to set it off. I would have a chat with your consultant just to get it checked out x
Hi thank you, I’ve been to have it checked out by Gp this morning but all he said was he didn’t know what had caused it. It seems slightly better today.
Hi. Sorry you are having these issues. Zoladex can cause a rash. It's one of the side effects listed along with others. Prior use of any medication doesn't mean you can't have a reaction to it this time round or that you won't experience side effects you may not have done before. You've done the right thing in reporting it to your Dr. Keep monitoring it. You could always ring the clinic too & see what they say. Feel better
