So my appointment was cancelled yesterday! It’s the second time it’s been cancelled 😞 I highly doubt I will see a specialist this year. It’s an absolute joke in my opinion!
I have had to take a day off work so has my boyfriend because the hospital is 2 hours away 😩 I don’t understand how they can cancel an appointment the day before!

My lap has beebeen rearrnaged twice a week later then got moved another week again however that sate didnt work for me because of other circumstances and not having any support for a few days after surgery so had to say another 2 weeks but then the consultant was off for 2 weeks so now its just over another month away so frustrating and I will go mental if they try to change it again!!!! But you can contact the hospitals PALS service and complain which I will do if they try to mess me around again.
It is really really frustrating isn't it ? but the people who do the operation are made up of a whole team. So if one person in the team gets sick or catches covid etc the whole thing has to be cancelled. The best thing people can do to stop this happeneing is wear masks and keep the levels of covid down but everyone wants to pretend covid has gone.
There's not much you can do other than I guess you could try going private but that's pretty costly. I'm really sorry this has happened, it's also stressful psychologically if you are all prepared to go for an op. If it was just an appt with a consultant that's not as bad, they can just reschedule you soon but it's much more of a pain it being so far away.
I really hope it doesn't happen again. I guess what we really need are loads more doctors and nurses but they don't grow on trees. Hope things go better next time.xx
