It’s been 10 weeks since diagnostic laparoscopy where some areas of endometriosis were found and excised. So far no improvement in previous pain. Also the 2 periods since surgery have been excruciating. Wondering if it is normal to take a long time to start feeling better or is this more indicating that surgery did not help.

ang001 I am sorry to learn you are still in pain, but unfortunately not suprised. I have experienced many ops. I personally always underestimated the invasiveness of the proceedures, until it was pointed out to me by a post operative nurse. Listen to your body. If your pain is too much, take action, either now or preparing for your next appointment.
Im 13 weeks out and same as you. I don't know what it means either!
I'm 3 months post surgery and my periods have been awful especially emotionally. My consultant said this would happen, he said it takes 6 months for everything to settle.
