I got a call from the hospital this morning telling my appointment for my Laparoscopy. I didn't expect them to come back this soon, I was told I would mostly likely be waiting a year and it ended up only being 4 months.
What should I expect to happen while I'm waiting for the day?

congrats on the quick date lovely. I’m waiting for my third lap and have been told a year so have my fingers crossed. I would just try and get yourself as strong as possible for the surgery. Increase your water and fruit/veg intake as it all helps healing time. Also there are some fab lists on what to pack. Keep monitoring your symptoms and logging any new ones. I hope the surgery goes ok x
I’m on day 1 recovery after waiting a while for surgery, and doing okay so far!
In terms of while you’re waiting- echo the below point of just being as healthy as you can! Before surgery I did some bulk cooking so I had plenty of food ready, made sure I had stock of ibruprofen and paracetemol (hospital didn’t prescribe anything else), peppermint oil caplets for the gas pain, sennakot for any constipation and some heat packs.
I did a lot of research before the surgery and read a lot of stories of painful recoveries so was prepared for the worst. I’m only on day 1 so can’t comment too much yet, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised so far I’ve had no gas pain, my throat is fine (but coughing is painful!), my tummy is very swollen and tender but manageable.
