hi, i har my laparoscopy in april was diagnosed with endo then got the mirena coil. I havr had the copper coil since i was 15 with two changes. I know the mirena is hormonal. I keep getting brown/ black discharge so im wondering when this will end?

Hi, I too have not long had this fitted and experienced the same. I was very reluctant to having it as I’ve heard many bad things. I can honestly say that it has helped my periods so much as they were very heavy and painful. I have found that after a while it has stopped for me, around 6 months, but I guess everyone’s body is different. X

can I ask how you found the first week? I had it fitted during a lap and currently feel like I’m having a bad period and lots of cramping not sure what part is the coil or recovering from the op

Hi, I had the mirena fitted back in February duing a laparoscopy. I had light bleeding for around 11 weeks. Still having a period every month, it's a lot lighter but the pain is no better.It's not right for everyone
