Hello! I was diagnosed with Endo after they found an endometrioma on an ultrasound scan last December. I have a MRI tomorrow and I was just wondering if they talk you through the results of the MRI there and then or if you have to wait for a follow up appointment? I’m not on my period and I’m in a minimal pain patch as my period has just finished (a few days of relief for me!) Does that mean they’re less likely to spot anything on the scan or does it not work like that? Still no appointment date for lap yet…
Sorry if these are obvious questions, just new to this and anxious of them not finding anything and not taking me seriously again 😫
Thanks xx

Your story is the same as mine early this year , I had to wait 4 weeks to find out what the mri said and now I have to wait till October for the appointment with the specialist.
I've been there, the anixety and stress trying to get a diagnosis.
I was diagnosed through a laparscorpy surgery where I had two endometriosis cyst one on left ovary and one on rectovaginal.
I had a MRI scan two weeks after my surgery to see if the endometriosis had wide spreaded to my other organs.
Unfortunately you do not get your MRI scan results on the day, your lucky if you get your results after a week. I got my MRI scan after two to three prior to my MRI scan.
Beare in mind even that even that you have finished your period or on your period, the image of the fat and tissue can decrease due to the change of our hormones level at the time during and after period, as our hormones change.
If you you cancel you may be waiting a long time to get another MRI scan appointment, it might be best to talk your radiography at the time of the appointment.
