I’ve got stage 4 endometriosis, I’ve had key hole surgery which didn’t work now waiting 2 years for excessive surgery but every time I phone the hospital I get put off and told to wait as there are hundreds in the same position which is what I get told everytime. Obviously this doesn’t help my pain and is much worse now. I’m constantly having burning sensations from my cysts which is unbearable. I’m so scared of the surgery I need to have but don’t seem to get anywhere

I am in a similar situation. I was told by my consultant I need to have a total hysterectomy and have the added complication as my bowel is stuck to my womb. He told me my case is urgent due to abscesses with a possible wait of 3-6 months. I spoke to the admissions team and they told me 12 months plus wait 😩.
I have no choice but to now go private, I can’t deal with the daily pain any longer; my husband is selling his car to help finance it!
Are you able to speak to your consultants secretary? And I would recommend going back to your GP xx
I’ve spoken to secretary but she is bloody useless and no help at all! My gp has sent numerous urgent expenditure letter to the surgeon but I get nothing. I also have it in my bowel wall and they are taking half of it away when I finally get the surgery. But I am so scared I will die
I have been in the same situation, I had pre opp appointment last year December and on the NHS still waiting. I have gone private and it's a world apart, for my opp for full hysterectomy which is in a week and a half's time.
Good luck with your surgery 😊.I have my first private consultation in two weeks time and hoping surgery will be at the end of September (maybe earlier) x
I’m waiting for urgent surgery, my surgeon says he doesn’t know how long it will be .It’s on my bowel and cyst on ovary and other places, there’s talk of a resection and chance of a temporary stoma .
