Hello,

I'm new here, I am a long term sufferer of endometriosis, polycystic ovaries and fibroids, I'm struggling really badly with the amount of pain that I am alot of the time, (I'm currently on a waiting list for a full hysterectomy), painkillers don't seem to help, nor do the stick on heatpads, can anyone recommend a good heatpad that works and can be used whilst I try to carry on with my day to day activities? I am a mum of 3, one being my 2 year old little boy so don't get much chance to stay still as you can imagine, many thanks 😊

Hey there, I feel your pain. My friend lent me her tens machine and that does seem to work… it sort of numbs the area I find. Obviously these come with wires but I keep seeing portable ones so that would be my suggestion!

There’s a brand that Instagram really want me to buy (all the ads) called Ovira. If you have success let me know?

I’m waiting a couple of months as I’ve just had surgery.

Yes I've seen that too and been tempted but you never know if they are any good so it's tricky, what surgery have you had if you don't mind me asking x

It was a diagnostic laparoscopy but they found endo and a load of adhesions so burnt that off or whatever they do. So I’ve been told the next period will be bad but then good ones for a few months or more… we shall see (fingers crossed). The first period is late though and I’ve been having pains for ages so getting a bit fed up.

Hi, just wanted to say that I have the Ovira tens unit and it is honestly a life saver for me! It really helps with my endometriosis and adenomyosis pain x

Hi Jenny!

I rely on heat pads as painkillers cause me problems.

The best portable ones I've found are Thermacare Advanced Back Pain Therapy Heatwraps. These used to be stocked in Boots but are now on Amazon. They are expensive but give a good amount of heat and last a long time (even overnight). I find the other brands don't produce enough heat to block pain.

At home, I have a Dreamland Intelliheat pad (Argos and Boots) which I have used for years.

I hope this helps.
