Hello Shelly085

I hope your surgery went smoothly and you are taking it easy in this recovery period. In answer to your question, I did experience some pain in the first 2-3 months post-surgery. My endometriosis consultant advised that it can take up to 6 months to notice the effects of the surgery. The first 2-3 period can be especially painful as our bodies are still healing.

I hope that with time the pain will ease for you and your quality of life will improve. Sending strength your way 💛

Take care,

Claudia

Hello claudia_91

Thanks so much, I was beginning to worry they missed something as after my previous surgeries I have had little to no pain.

Hi Shelly085

Let's hope that that isn't the case. It might be too early to tell. If you are really struggling with the pain, remember that you can speak to the ward nurse for advice 😊

Take care,

Claudia

Thanks claudia_91, I’ve been trying to get in touch with the nurses all day no one is answering, so I’ve left a message, my own gp was ment to ring me back also an never it’s just a pain really. When did you get your surgery? X

That's good, keep trying. Mondays can be really busy on the phone lines, hope you'll have more luck tomorrow. My surgery was in 2018 and it really changed my life for the better. The recovery is very long though, be kind to yourself 😊 xx
