I got my date for laprascopy surgery!

All you lovely ladies who sent me replies to my message about endometriosis and wanting a baby,

You bought me some luck, so thank you all soooo much!

Hospital rang yesterday to give me dates for pre op, covid test, and the operation! Which is all this month,

I mean it's a surreal thing, I've waited so so long for this, and now it's going to happen!

I couldn't control emotion, because everything was flying through my mind at once, so yesterday was abit of a roller coaster 🙃

Today I've woken with a fresh mind, and actually thinking I'm not going to let this get me down, and over think it :)

I am happy, if anyone has any advice please feel free, it's all the unknown for me, as I haven't had alot of info as you know from my previous post,

Will I be able to ask questions about the chances with fertility etc while at the pre op? Or is the person I'll see at the pre op just the person who wants to know weight etc 🤷‍♀️

I did ask on the phone if there is anything I need to do prior etc and she sort of cut me short and said I'll recieve a letter..

I've read it's a day surgery, so in and home the same day?

I've also read that it's not that long for recovery, which I'm guessing everyone is different, but any advice would be greatly appreciated

I havent read anything to help prior having the surgery?

Thanks again to you that have sent me reassurances and encouragement, and just simply letting me know I'm not alone, thank you it means more than you know xx

Hi PkxTam

Great to hear that the forum has been such a support for you!

We're so pleased you now have a date for your surgery - to help you prepare we have a really great document on our website that you can download here: endometriosis-uk.org/your-l...

It contains information on what to expect during and after surgery. The main thing to remember is to ask as many questions as you need of the doctors who will be performing the surgery to make sure you are comfortable. Everyone's recovery times are different and it's so important for the healing process that you take time to properly relax afterwards.

Wishing you all the best x
