Hi all 🙂 so I've received my pre op for my 1st laparoscopy appointment for 3rd Feb, so does this mean I wont wait long for the actual surgery? Or does it mean I could still have a long wait ? I had my 1st gyno appointment on Monday 18th Jan then received pre op yesterday it seems to be going pretty quick from what I've read from other stories on here. I'm in the northeast if this helps. Any input would be great thank you.
Any input please: Hi all 🙂 so I've... - Endometriosis UK
Any input please
I would say it'll be reasonably quick after your pre-op as they want to make sure you're fit for surgery. I'd give them a call as your date will already be allocated if you have a pre op date xx
I had to have a COVID test during my pre op so the surgery had to be within 7 days of the pre op. 👍
Hi sorry to play devils advocate but not always I had my pre-op and was told it lasts for 3months then due to COVID my op was cancelled and had to have another pre-op just before surgery 4months later x
Hello Jaye75, I had my pre op for laparoscopy in June & then I’ve heard nothing at all since. I’m in the northwest. Fingers crossed 🤞 everything goes planned for you xx
Hi , have you contacted the secretary this seems strange that you have heard nothing at all it's just not right having to wait such a long time while your in pain I know theres a lot going on atm but surely gynaecology wouldn't be affected as much and as they keep telling people dont be scared to goto hospital if you need to 😕 I dnt know if they have hurried mine due to a big history of cancer or because it's a really good hospital (RVI Newcastle) xx
Hi Jaye 😊 Yes I did get in touch with them in October & was told I’m just on the waiting list. I don’t have much faith at the minute, I have had lots of tests and examinations the works and they never even noticed I had a bladder prolapse. I had to tell my doctor I had it until he agreed to examine me that was late November. Still nothing about either. I’m really happy to hear you have been hurried through, it gives me a little hope mine should be upcoming 😌Fingers crossed & Thank you xXx
This does not surprise me I went through alsorts of scans and steroid injections thinking it was my back even tho nothing showed up on these scans! Some drs dont have a clue and all they know is what they have read in books, we are the ones going through all this pain on a daily basis and what annoys me mostly is having a limp for 3 years and never getting an explanation as to why this popped up out of nowhere and stops me doing a lot of things a I used to be able to do I'm very inactive because of it, I'm 45 and feel 85 I feel my life was stolen from me as I was very active before all of this. Sorry about the rant lol. I really do hope you hear soon as this just isnt right the way we are pushed aside xx
