I have been on the pill for around 5 months now, and it has helped a lot!! However, I’m beginning to get regular pain again- in my abdomen, when I pee, in my back etc. The pains are not as severe as what they were but they are still bad.
I just want some advice if whether I should come off the pill or stay on it. I don’t know if it’s helping or just hiding the symptoms!!😞

Hey, I'm in the same boat. The first couple of months I had no periods and no pain, wonderful I thought. The last two months I've spotted (or had very light periods and the doc told me) but have had some pain too. All in my usual endo pain area. On phoning the doc I was given the alternative contraception I could use and thr decision was left up to me. I still not sure what to do as most of thr alternatives still mess with your periods.
Which pill are you on? I think you should only be on the progesterone only pill as a pill with oestrogen might make the endo grow. Even on the POP it doesn't always stop the endo growing, it sometimes just masks the problem, you need to go and get a proper scan so you can see how bad the endo is and then decide what to do about it. Don't leave it and just let it keep growing or it will get really bad.
I am on the Eloine pill, not a lot of people have heard of it. This is what it says is in it-Each Eloine pill contains lab made versions of the hormones oestrogen (ethinylestradiol) and progesterone (drospirenone).
You should not be put on a pill with any eostrogen in it if you have endo. Eostrogen makes endo grow faster. If I were you I would get a scan right away go privately, i have had three and the last one was way more effective than the others. I did have to go all the way to Lonodn though. It cost nearly 400 quid but I aso got a consultation with the sonographer afterwards and he can refer you to whichever gynae you want. It was well worth it he noted every single thing causing problems and sent me a really thorough report the next day. if you do this you can see excatly how bad your situation is and he will advise you on what to do next, he isn't a surgeon so he has no chance to benefit from recommending surgery if you don't need it. I wish I had done this ages ago. The scans i had done by a general sonographer we really poor quality and lacking in detail. I would try this then get him to refer you to whoever is the best spceialist near you. If you DM me I can give you details.
It was a trans vaginal ultrasound. It cost 390 including th econsultation but the guy who did it is a serious expert in his field I had 2 MRIs before which showed up a lot of problems but they were more expensive and with the TV ultrasound they sonographer can actually pull gently on your ovaries etc to see if they are attached . An ultrasound from outside wont see enough. But it makes a massive differnec who does the scan if you get just any non specilaist sonographer it will cost less but they might miss half the things on there. MRis are much more expensive and can be really good but again it all depends on who is doing the scan.
