Hello everyone, I am in a panick about wounds healing from laparoscopy. The wounds are all healing in different ways. I have tried to speak to the hospital and GP but both referred me to the other. I have tried a few other routes but aren't getting anywhere so I really hope someone here may have some wisdom to share again!

I am not sure if the wound healing is normal as I keep getting sharp pain.

The middle wound the stiches are sticking out and hurt if anything goes near them - is that ok? (Picture attached)

The first wound the strip stitches won't come off, I had a procedure 8th April.

Thank you for any help. Hope everyone is going well x

Looks pretty normal to me. Stitches are dissolving and can look like plastic tags ( but confusing I know !)

If it’s not red and hot, oozing pus or has a very hard lump underneath then it should be fine. Mine took a good few weeks to fully settle. Don’t forget you are healing from deeper within too not just surface. Hope you have a good recovery 🤗

Hi, I had a hysterectomy on 7th April, and had similar pain from the stitches sticking out, felt like nerve pain. I kept that one covered with a dressing so it didn't rub on anything but has fiinally settled. As others have said as long as there is no redness, heat or weeping/pus coming from them you shouldn't need to worry. I can understand your concern especially when you aren't getting the support and reassurance from your GP and hospital. wishing you a speedy recovery xx
