Iv had a complex history with gynea, misdiagnoses, hysterectomy 3 years ago for adenomyosis- biopsy showed no evidence of that or endometriosis on my uterus. I had endometriosis on rectum/transvaginal/bladder/ pelvic walls/floor.
They left my ovaries because I was only 33 at the time, I’m now 36. My pain and symptoms have become so debilitating and limiting that I’m on a low dose of morphine daily. My bowel has not functioned since the removal of DIE 4 years ago ( only the use of suppository will allow my bowel to open even to pass gas sometimes). I had an mri 2 years ago showing severe adhesions and a large ovarian cyst that was recorded as complex. My appointments are constantly cancelled. Iv been on list for surgery over a year. Im at my wits end I don’t know what to do anymore.

I assume you are at a bsge centre with complex endo? Are you on hrt? If you are then it must be combined and it maybe you need a bit more progesterone to control endo and hopefully ease the pain. Even if biopsies didn’t show endo it is often present as biopsy just takes a small sample and may miss it.
They left my ovaries. Took everything else. Iv been on every birth control in the past none of which ever suited me or helped. They keep pushing zoladex but I really don’t want it. I was at Portsmouth but now under Eastbourne. I don’t know if I can mention names of drs x
I took zoladex for 18months I would of carried it on but wasnt allowed it may of effected my bones but I wouldnt change a thing best thing it stopped my periods i felt like me again.
Iv reacted to all hormonal treatments, I have hypothyroidism, inflammatory arthritis. The added concern of the side effects is too risky for me. Also as you pointed out it gave you a taste of what life should be like and then took it away. It’s like giving a child the most amazing sweet then taking it away.
Hi I'm on waiting list for surgery aswell was told it will be nxt year due to catching up with what surgeries couldn't be done with COVID. I've been prescribed butec patches and liquid morphine the patches help when pain not to bad and morphine helps alot with really bad pain. I've tried everything else for pain and nothing else seems to work for me. I would recommend trying the patches first and see if they work it can take couple of weeks to feel the effect of them. Good luck hope you manage to get some pain relief untill u get Ur surgery
