Update on my last post

Hey

So I posted on here 3 months ago to say that my pains had returned AGAIN even after a full hysterectomy last year 😔. Thanks to my consultant's secretary I managed to get another MRI done and last week had the results. My sigmoid colon is attached to my vaginal vault. I've got an appt at the hospital next week to discuss next steps. At this stage I'm not sure whether it's endo that's caused the adhesion or if its scar tissue from the removal of endo from my bowel during surgery 🤷‍♀️. Just can't believe I'm still having to deal with this after taking such drastic measures last year. I've recently made the tough decision to give up my job aswell as I just couldn't physically do it anymore. I've got a job working from home now which is much better for me.

Oh sweetie you poor soul. Rant away, we need to sometimes.I have a similar story to yours and I gave up work a number of years ago. I think for me, my hysterectomy even though I knew it was a 50/50 chance of helping me, was the last thing I could try after trying everything that my gynae could offer me. It absolutely sucks as it consumes your whole life. Just make sure you are looking after your mental health as that is just as important as the endo.How is the menopause treating you?? Are you on HRT?? Just out ofinterest, what job do you do from home?? I would love to work from home even part time as keeping busy takes my mind of the the pain. Sending hugs xx

Hey. Yes I'm on HRT- patches, they suit me fine to be fair. So happy with that.Are you based in the UK? If so the company I work for is Sensèe. You can apply online and they get back to you. You do have to provide your own IT equipment, suitable room and Internet but you get to choose your own hours which is great.

Oh blimey. Haven’t been on this site for a while but when I come back and read the posts it breaks my heart. So many women (young and old) out there with so much in common and yet so little we can do to help each other out of the pain. I see that endometriosis being more in the spotlight has opened many cans of worms for many. We’re all so much more aware of the condition but there is STILL so little resource to help us. Giving up your job is a big deal. I admire you. So many of my bosses over the years, male and female, have been dreadful to me. Can’t count the number of times I’ve flooded through trousers, passed out, called in sick, been dizzy through too much strong medication, cancelled birthdays, holidays, anniversaries. I read a post on this site not long ago from a husband saying his wife had committed suicide from the pain and from being so isolated. I wish I could help everyone. Sign any petition you can to get more funding for this condition. Anyone reading this post, write to your MP. And P.S you’re not moaning. You are strong. I wish you luck finding treatment. And I wish you a pain free life. If and when you find it pass it on! Nina. X
