Pain post period and potentially after intercourse

I suffer from post period cramps but am trying to conceive so am avoiding pain killers. I have been diagnosed Adenomyosis with some articles suggesting that sometimes is accompanied with endometriosis. Am wondering if the pain is related to intercourse or is hormonal changes i.e. where I am in the cycle? Has anyone experienced this before and can shed some light? I have a GP appointment tomorrow and am hoping to see a consultant for further tests.

Hello - I've just come across your post....so you may have already found your answers. I too suffer from "post" period pains and severe bloating. Around day 6/7 of my cycle (Still bleeding but very light) I get the worst back pain, which seems to creep up to my ribs round to my front and all over my incredibly swollen tummy. I get pains across my pelvis and often down my right leg. I literally look like I've swallowed a water melon right now (I'm on day 11)

I don't know for sure but I wonder if sometimes there's more blood trapped in my uterus than usual and that everything is just inflamed and irritated.

A slightly bulky uterus and irregular junctional zone (plus my age, csection and symptoms) meant I was "diagnosed" with adeno a couple of years ago.

Did you get any answers from your gp/tests?
