Shock and panic

Hi, last night I experienced that much pain I went into shock before having a panic attack. This morning I have zero energy and had to call into work sick for the second time this week. Im waiting for surgery and pain management referral but just don’t know what’s going on anymore at a complete loss. Has anyone experienced this before?

Morning - hope you’re feeling a lot better now. That must have been really frightening! Not sure of your history, but could it have been something like a cyst bursting? I would have been tempted to call 111 or get myself down to A&E with such a horrific pain xxx In any case, I would definitely log it with your GP and if possible contact your gynae to update them on your situation. (Maybe it will bump you up the list to be seen ??) Take care of yourself and rest up today ❤️

I have no fever or anything as to a cyst burst however, I have avoided a&e with the waiting times etc. contacted Gynae just waiting for admissions to call me back. The pain is still here just not so severe. I’m going to ring them back at 2pm if I’ve not had a response. Erm my history is lengthy, I have cysts on both ovaries, endo on bladder, bowel, rectovaginal and sciatic. It really was a surreal experience I’ve never gone into shock or anything so I think if I can’t get anywhere with Gynae in sight ring 111

It’s so difficult isn’t it? We plough through the pain everyday it’s just stopped me in my tracks this time round

Thank you for your response xx

As mentioned a cyst rupturing can make you go in to shock. Personally I’d be reluctant to say to a doctor it was a panic attack as you may not be taken seriously unfortunately. Hope you feelOk it must have been frightening for you. x

Oh really? I have been very lethargic since it happened. I’ve got an appointment on Thursday with my consultant but, if it gets worse I will seek medical attention that’s for sure. Thank you x
